The WV PTA is proud to present our STAR Awards for each school year.  S.T.A.R. is representing Stellar, Tenacious, Action, and Results—which recognizes local PTA units that go above and beyond to strengthen family engagement and make a meaningful impact in their schools and communities.

• STAR Steam Event Award - Recognizes a PTA that hosted engaging and innovative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) events, sparking curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning while bringing families together in meaningful educational experiences.
• STAR Spirit Award – Celebrates PTAs that embody the heart of PTA through enthusiasm, positivity, and a strong sense of community, inspiring others through their energy and dedication.
• STAR Family Engagement Award – Honors PTAs that build strong, inclusive partnerships with families, creating welcoming opportunities for involvement and connection that support every child’s success.
• STAR Spotlight Award – Celebrates PTAs that shine a light on their school and community through creative programs, effective communication, and efforts that elevate awareness and participation.
• STAR Excellence Award – Recognizes PTAs that consistently deliver high-quality programs and initiatives, demonstrating leadership, organization, and a commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes.
• STAR Distinction Award – The highest level of recognition, honoring PTAs that set the standard for innovation, impact, and sustainability—serving as a model for others across the state and exceeding expectations.
