We are beyond proud of our National winners in the PTA Reflections program from West Virginia! Easton House, Eagle School Intermediate PTA won an Award of Merit in the Film Production category for his film “The Offseason” and Charlotte Reid, from Steenrod Elementary PTA won an Award of Merit in the Visual Arts category for her entry, “Zoo”.
Easton is a third grader at Eagle Intermediate School. He loves math and reading the Dragon Master series books. At home, Easton enjoys playing with his 2 brothers and 2 sisters. On the baseball field he enjoys playing second base, catcher, and hitting. During the offseason, he loves analyzing baseball stats and creating baseball scenarios. He has found a love in digital media creation and is excited continuing to develop his skills! We’d say he’s off to a great start!
Charlie is a 6-year-old kindergartener at Steenrod Elementary School who loves expressing herself through art. She enjoys making movies, creating her own songs, and writing and illustrating her own books. Outside of her creative work, she loves playing on the playground, swimming, spending time with her friends, and playing with her little brother—she is always on the move. She’s also very literal, which adds to the way she sees and interprets the world.
Charlie created her award-winning artwork from memory after a day at the zoo and is especially skilled at drawing. Her neurodivergence gives her a uniquely vibrant and thoughtful perspective, which shines through in everything she creates. She loves her family, her dog Gypsy, and her favorite stuffed animal, “Loveheart.”
She is a pint-sized powerhouse of joy, love, and humor.
