August Membership Challenge: Staff Strong Start
The first challenge in our One Mission. One Member at a Time. campaign is officially underway! Teachers, administrators, bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria staff, counselors, nurses, aides, office staff, and every member of your school team play an important role in creating a positive school community. Let’s kick off the year by showing them that PTA is for everyone!
August Challenge
Complete ONE of the following by August 31:
Recruit and submit dues for at least 15 school staff members as PTA members
OR Increase your staff membership by 25% over last year.
Need a few ideas to help you reach your goal? Here are some simple ways to get started:
- Host a Staff Welcome Breakfast or Lunch and share how PTA supports students, staff, and your school community.
- Deliver a small welcome gift to each staff member with a PTA membership form or QR code for quick and easy online sign-up.
- Ask your principal to promote PTA membership during opening staff meetings and encourage everyone to join the team.
- Create a friendly grade-level or department challenge! A little friendly competition can go a long way. Consider recognizing the first department to reach 100% membership or the grade level with the highest participation.
- Recognize new staff members on social media (with their permission) and welcome them to your PTA family! Celebrating new members is a great way to thank them for their support while inspiring others to join.

- Statewide WV PTA social media recognition
